Preparation and Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Marinate the Mushrooms

In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, turmeric, tandoori masala, minced garlic, grated ginger, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until all ingredients are fully combined.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Portobello Mushrooms

Clean the Portobello mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems. Place the mushrooms in the bowl with the marinade and coat them evenly. Cover and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably in the refrigerator for a few hours.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Tandoor or Grill

If using a tandoor, preheat it according to the manufacturer's instructions. If using a grill, preheat to medium-high heat.

  4. 4

    Grill the Mushrooms

Remove the mushrooms from the marinade and brush them lightly with olive oil. Place them on the grill or in the tandoor, gill for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they are tender and have nice grill marks.

  5. 5

    Serve

Once cooked, remove the mushrooms from the grill or tandoor. Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs or a squeeze of lemon if desired.
