Makhani Sauce Preparation

Prepare the Makhani Sauce

In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent. Stir in the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Add the tomato puree, garam masala, salt, and sugar. Simmer for 10 minutes. Stir in the heavy cream and let simmer for another 5 minutes. Set aside.

Make the Mint Pesto

In a food processor, combine fresh mint leaves, pine nuts, grated Parmesan cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, and salt. Blend until smooth. Adjust seasoning as needed and set aside.

Assembly

Assemble the Dish

On a serving plate, spoon the warm Makhani sauce. Place the burrata cheese in the center, allowing it to slightly melt into the sauce. Garnish with cherry tomatoes and dollops of mint pesto. Serve with garlic crostini on the side.
