Marinade

Method

Preparation and Grilling

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine Greek yogurt, garam masala, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, paprika, minced garlic, grated ginger, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until smooth.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Mushrooms

Remove the stems from the Portobello mushrooms and gently wipe the caps with a damp cloth. Place the mushrooms in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best flavor.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

  4. 4

    Grill the Mushrooms

Remove the mushrooms from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place them on the grill, cap side down. Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until tender and grill marks appear.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the mushrooms from the grill and drizzle with olive oil. Serve warm, garnished with fresh cilantro if desired.
