Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Clean and cut the crab into manageable pieces. Chop the onions and tomatoes finely. Set aside.

  2. 2

    Cook the Onions

In a large pot, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

  3. 3

    Add Spices and Tomatoes

Stir in the ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, and sauté for another 2 minutes. Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.

  4. 4

    Mix in the Spices

Add turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add Crab and Coconut Milk

Add the crab pieces to the pot and stir to coat them in the spice mix. Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a boil.

  6. 6

    Simmer

Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the crab is fully cooked and tender.

  7. 7

    Finish with Garam Masala

Stir in the garam masala and adjust salt if needed. Cook for another 2 minutes.

  8. 8

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat, garnish with fresh coriander leaves, and serve hot with rice or bread.
