Rib Preparation

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Make the Rub

In a bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

    Apply the Rub

Rub the spice mixture generously all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.

  4. 4

    Cook the Ribs

Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil and cover them tightly with foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until the meat is tender.

  5. 5

    Add Barbecue Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven and discard the top layer of foil. Brush the ribs generously with barbecue sauce.

  6. 6

    Broil for Finish

Turn on your oven's broiler and return the ribs to the oven for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.

  7. 7

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let them rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
