Prepare the Pork
In a slow cooker, place the pork shoulder. Season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Add chopped onion and minced garlic on top.

Cook the Pork
Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or until the pork is tender and easily shredded.

Shred the Pork
Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix it with the barbecue sauce.

Prepare the Slaw (optional)
If desired, prepare a slaw by mixing shredded cabbage, carrots, and a dressing of your choice.

Assemble the Sandwiches
Serve the pulled pork on buns and top with the slaw before closing the sandwich.
