Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Brisket
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). In a small bowl, mix together the onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub this spice mixture all over the brisket.
- 2
Cook the Brisket
Place the seasoned brisket in a roasting pan and pour the beef broth around it. Cover the pan tightly with aluminum foil and cook in the oven for 3-4 hours, or until the brisket is tender.
- 3
Shred the Brisket
Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes. Then, using two forks, shred the brisket into bite-sized pieces.
- 4
Assemble the Sandwich
Toast the buns lightly. Place a generous amount of shredded brisket on the bottom half of each bun. Drizzle with barbecue sauce, add pickles, and top with coleslaw if using. Cover with the top half of the bun.
- 5
Serve
Serve the brisket sandwiches warm, alongside your favorite side dish.
