Ingredients for Baby Back Ribs

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your smoker or grill to 225°F (107°C). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim any excess fat.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar. Rub the spice mixture generously over the ribs on both sides.

  3. 3

    Smoke the Ribs

Place the ribs in the smoker or grill bone-side down. Smoke for about 4 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature of 225°F (107°C).

  4. 4

    Baste with Sauce

In the last 30 minutes of cooking, mix the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey in a bowl. Brush the mixture over the ribs every 10 minutes.

  5. 5

    Check for Doneness

The ribs are done when the meat has pulled back from the bones and is tender. You can also check for an internal temperature of around 190°F (88°C).

  6. 6

    Rest and Serve

Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite side dishes.
