Method
Marinade Preparation
- 1
Combine Marinade Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, sliced green onions, and black pepper. Whisk together until the sugar is dissolved and the marinade is well mixed.
- 2
Marinate the Beef
Add the thinly sliced beef sirloin to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for more flavor.
Cooking
- 3
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. If using a grill, make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled to prevent sticking.
- 4
Grill the Beef
Remove the marinated beef from the refrigerator. Grill the beef in batches for 2-3 minutes per side, or until cooked to your liking. Avoid overcrowding the grill to ensure even cooking.
Serving
- 5
Prepare the Plate
On a serving plate, place a generous scoop of cooked white rice. Arrange the grilled bulgogi on top of the rice.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Sprinkle sesame seeds and additional sliced green onions over the bulgogi. Serve immediately while hot.
