Seafood and Sides

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Boil the potatoes until fork-tender. Drain and let them cool slightly, then smash them with the palm of your hand. Heat oil in a pan and fry the smashed potatoes until golden and crispy. Season with salt and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Cider-Lemon Slaw

Shred the cabbage and grate the carrot. In a bowl, mix together cider vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Toss the shredded cabbage and carrot in the dressing and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Seafood

Pat the seafood dry and season with salt and pepper. Dredge the shrimp, calamari, and fish fillets in flour, shaking off excess. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the seafood until golden and cooked through. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Plate

On a plate, arrange the fried seafood, smashed potatoes, cider-lemon slaw, house pickles, and pickled onions. Serve with Remoulade sauce on the side.
