Directions
- 1
Prepare the Tater Tots
Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the tater tots package. Bake the tater tots for about 10 minutes until they are partially cooked.
- 2
Stuff the Tater Tots
Remove the tater tots from the oven and let them cool slightly. Using a small knife, carefully cut a slit in the side of each tater tot and stuff them with gouda cheese. Ensure the cheese is packed nicely inside.
- 3
Prepare the Coating
In a bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. In another bowl, beat the egg.
- 4
Coat the Tater Tots
Dip each stuffed tater tot first into the egg mixture, then roll in the flour mixture to coat evenly.
- 5
Fry the Tots
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the coated tater tots in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve
Garnish with parsley and serve hot as an appetizer.
