Chicken Tenders
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Prep the Chicken
Cut chicken breasts into strips. In a bowl, mix buttermilk, egg, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add chicken strips, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Prepare the Coating
In a separate bowl, place all-purpose flour. You can add a pinch of salt and pepper for extra flavor.
- 3
Coat the Chicken
After marination, take each chicken strip and dredge it in the flour, shaking off excess. Make sure each piece is evenly coated.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry the coated chicken strips in batches until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- 5
Prepare the Fries
While the chicken is frying, cut potatoes into thin strips. Rinse in cold water and dry thoroughly. Fry in hot oil until golden brown and crispy, about 4-6 minutes.
- 6
Serve
Plate the crispy chicken tenders alongside the fries. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces.
