Preparation Steps

1

Prepare the Salmon

Start by gently rinsing the fresh Atlantic salmon under cold water. Pat it dry using paper towels. Place the salmon on a cutting board and check for any pin bones, removing them with tweezers if necessary.

2

Make the Mustard Dill Glaze

In a small mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of mustard, 2 tablespoons of fresh dill, 1 tablespoon of honey, and a pinch of salt. Whisk until smooth and set aside.

3

Prepare the Chive Aioli

In another bowl, mix together 1 cup of mayonnaise, 2 tablespoons of finely chopped chives, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and salt and pepper to taste. Stir until well combined and set aside.

4

Toast the Bread

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the slices of bread on a baking sheet and brush lightly with olive oil on both sides. Toast in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, flipping halfway through.

5

Serve the Smoked Salmon

Once the salmon is prepared and all condiments are ready, slice the smoked salmon into thin pieces. Serve on a platter with toast points, mustard dill glaze, and chive aioli on the side for dipping.
