Method
Shrimp Preparation
Prepare the Shrimp
In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well.
Coat the Shrimp
Dredge each shrimp in the flour mixture, ensuring they are fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.
Frying Shrimp
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
Fry the Shrimp
Carefully add the coated shrimp to the hot oil in batches. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Buffalo Sauce
Prepare the Sauce
In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the hot sauce until well combined. Remove from heat.
Coat the Shrimp
In a large bowl, toss the fried shrimp with the buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
Bleu Cheese Aioli
Make the Aioli
In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise, crumbled bleu cheese, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until smooth.
Garnish
Serve
Plate the buffalo shrimp and drizzle with the bleu cheese aioli. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
