    Sauté Vegetables

    In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and diced carrot, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes.

    Add Tomatoes and Broth

    Pour in the canned tomatoes (with juices) and vegetable broth. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 20 minutes.

    Blend the Soup

    Using an immersion blender, blend the soup until smooth. Alternatively, you can transfer the soup in batches to a blender.

    Add Cream and Cheese

    Stir in the heavy cream and grated parmesan cheese. Season with salt and black pepper. Heat the soup gently until warmed through, about 5 minutes.

    Ladle the bisque into bowls and garnish with chopped fresh basil. Serve hot.
