Shrimp Marinade and Sauce
Method
Preparation and Cooking
- 1
Marinate the Shrimp
In a bowl, combine shrimp, chili powder, half of the minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- 2
Prepare the Beer Reduction
In a saucepan, add the beer and bring it to a boil over medium heat. Reduce the heat and let it simmer until reduced by half, about 10-15 minutes. Set aside.
- 3
Cook the Shrimp and Vegetables
In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the marinated shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink. Add the red bell pepper, pineapple, red onion, and the remaining garlic. Stir-fry for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- 4
Combine with Beer Reduction
Pour the beer reduction over the shrimp and vegetables. Stir to combine and cook for another 2 minutes to heat through.
- 5
Serve
Serve the drunken shrimp hot with garlic bread on the side.
