Pan-Fried Walleye Ingredients

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Breading

In a shallow dish, combine the flour, cornmeal, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Egg Mixture

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.

  3. 3

    Bread the Walleye

Dip each walleye fillet first in the egg mixture, allowing excess to drip off, then coat in the flour mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

  4. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until shimmering.

  5. 5

    Cook the Fillets

Carefully add the breaded walleye fillets to the skillet. Fry for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Drain and Serve

Remove the cooked fillets and drain on paper towels. Serve with lemon wedges.
