Prepare the Ingredients
Gather all the ingredients. If using Swiss cheese and pickles, have them ready.

Assemble the Sandwich
Lay one slice of rye bread on a clean surface. Spread mustard on the slice. Layer the corned beef on top of the mustard, followed by the Swiss cheese and pickles if desired. Top with the second slice of rye bread.
