Burger Patty

Pepper Jelly

Method

Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Prepare the Burger Patty

In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, salt, and black pepper. Form the mixture into 4 equal patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Burger Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Bacon Jam

  1. 3

    Cook the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels.

  2. 4

    Prepare the Bacon Jam

In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and cook until translucent. Add the cooked bacon back to the skillet along with brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and black pepper. Stir well and cook for another 10 minutes, until the mixture is thick and jam-like.

Pepper Jelly

  1. 5

    Make the Pepper Jelly

In a saucepan, combine the diced red bell pepper, minced jalapeño, sugar, and apple cider vinegar. Bring to a boil over medium heat.

  2. 6

    Add Pectin

Once boiling, stir in the pectin and continue to boil for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Store in a jar.

Fries

  1. 7

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips for fries.

  2. 8

    Fry the Potatoes

Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, then season with salt.
