Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Generously season both sides of the ribeye steak with salt and black pepper. Let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes to allow the seasoning to penetrate the meat.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat until it shimmers. Place the seasoned steaks in the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until your desired doneness is reached. Remove from the skillet and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

French Fries Preparation

  1. 3

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel the russet potatoes and cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick). Soak the potato strips in cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch.

  2. 4

    Fry the Potatoes

Drain and pat dry the soaked potato strips. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potatoes in batches for 4-5 minutes until golden brown. Remove them with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Season with salt while hot.

Garlic Butter Preparation

  1. 5

    Make the Garlic Butter

In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1-2 minutes). Stir in chopped fresh parsley and a pinch of salt. Remove from heat and set aside.
