Method
Biscuit Dough
- 1
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- 3
Cut in Butter
Add the cold, cubed butter to the flour mixture. Using a pastry cutter or your fingertips, cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- 4
Add Buttermilk
Make a well in the center of the mixture and pour in the buttermilk. Stir gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- 5
Shape Biscuits
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Pat it into a 1-inch thick rectangle. Using a biscuit cutter, cut out biscuits and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 6
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown.
Bacon Jam Honey Butter
- 7
Prepare Honey Butter
In a small bowl, combine the softened unsalted butter, bacon jam, and honey. Mix until well combined and creamy.
Fruit Jelly
- 8
Make Fruit Jelly
In a small saucepan, combine the fruit, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and the fruit breaks down, about 10-15 minutes.
