Method
Chicken Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 2
Dredge the Chicken
In a shallow dish, add the all-purpose flour. In another bowl, beat the eggs and milk together. Dip the seasoned chicken breasts first into the flour, then into the egg mixture, and back into the flour, coating well.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, add the coated chicken breasts and fry for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and let drain on paper towels.
Bacon Preparation
- 4
Cook the Bacon
In the same skillet used for the chicken, cook the bacon strips over medium heat until crispy. Remove and let drain on paper towels.
Sausage Gravy Preparation
- 5
Cook the Sausage
In the same skillet, add the breakfast sausage and cook over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and cooked through.
- 6
Make the Gravy
Sprinkle the 4 tablespoons of flour over the cooked sausage and stir to combine. Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
