Make the Vanilla Cake

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, cream the butter and sugar together, then add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract. Alternate adding the dry ingredients and milk, mixing until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool completely.

Assemble the Sliders

Once the cake has cooled, cut it into squares. Place a scoop of vanilla ice cream between two squares of cake to create a slider. Roll the edges of the sliders in rainbow sprinkles to coat them. Drizzle cream cheese icing over the top and serve immediately.
