Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Wash and cut the potatoes into thin strips. Soak in water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.

  2. 2

    Fry the Potatoes

In a deep pan, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt.

  3. 3

    Cook the Burger Patty

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into two patties. Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Tillamook cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burger

Toast the hamburger buns. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun, then layer with lettuce, tomato slices, onion rings, pickles, and the cheeseburger patty. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the cheeseburger hot with a side of hand-cut fries.
