Prepare the Fries
Wash and cut the potatoes into thin strips. Soak in water for 30 minutes, then drain and pat dry.

Fry the Potatoes
In a deep pan, heat oil to 350°F (175°C). Fry the potato strips in batches until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels. Season with salt.

Add Cheese
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Tillamook cheddar cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Assemble the Burger
Toast the hamburger buns. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun, then layer with lettuce, tomato slices, onion rings, pickles, and the cheeseburger patty. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve
Serve the cheeseburger hot with a side of hand-cut fries.
