Prepare the Cream

Whip the Cream
In a medium mixing bowl, pour 1 cup of heavy cream. Using an electric mixer, beat on medium speed until the cream starts to thicken.

Add Sugar and Vanilla
Add 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract to the whipped cream. Continue to beat until soft peaks form, which should take about 2-3 minutes.

Set Aside
Once the cream is whipped to your desired consistency, gently fold it to ensure it remains fluffy. Set aside in the refrigerator while preparing the strawberries.
Prepare the Strawberries

Wash and Slice
Thoroughly wash 2 cups of fresh strawberries under cold water. Remove the stems and slice them into halves or quarters, depending on your preference.

Mix with Sugar and Lemon
In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries with 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon of lemon juice. Toss gently to coat the strawberries evenly.

Allow the strawberry mixture to sit for about 10 minutes to let the juices develop and the sugar dissolve.

Repeat the layers until the bowls are filled, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on top.
