Method
Preparation
- 1
Make the Dry Rub
In a bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Mix well to create a uniform dry rub.
- 2
Prepare the Wings
Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This helps the rub stick better.
- 3
Apply the Dry Rub
Evenly coat the wings with the dry rub mixture, ensuring that all sides are covered. Let them sit for at least 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Cooking
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep fryer or large pot, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.
- 5
Fry the Wings
Carefully add the wings in batches to the hot oil. Fry for about 10-12 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
- 6
Drain the Wings
Remove the wings from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Tossing and Serving
- 7
Toss in Sauce
In a large bowl, toss the fried wings with your choice of sauce: house BBQ, sweet & spicy, garlic parmesan, or house ranch until evenly coated.
- 8
Serve
Serve the wings hot with extra sauce on the side for dipping.
