Mushrooms

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This will ensure that the mushrooms cook evenly and become tender.

  2. 2

    Clean the Mushrooms

Gently wipe the large white mushrooms with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt. Remove the stems and set them aside.

Making the Filling

  1. 3

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped chives, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.

  2. 4

    Chop the Mushroom Stems

Finely chop the reserved mushroom stems and add them to the filling mixture. Stir well to incorporate.

Stuffing and Baking

  1. 5

    Stuff the Mushrooms

Using a small spoon or a piping bag, fill each mushroom cap with the cream cheese and herb mixture. Make sure to pack the filling slightly for a generous portion.

  2. 6

    Arrange and Drizzle

Place the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Drizzle the olive oil over the tops of the stuffed mushrooms for added flavor.

  3. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the filling is lightly golden.

Serving

  1. 8

    Cool and Serve

Let the stuffed mushrooms cool for a few minutes before serving. They can be served warm or at room temperature.
