Prepare the Glass
Run a lime wedge around the rim of a glass to moisten it. Dip the rim into a plate of salt to coat it evenly. Set the glass aside.

Mix the Ingredients
In a cocktail shaker, combine the tequila, fresh lime juice, and triple sec. Fill the shaker with ice.

Shake the Cocktail
Secure the lid on the cocktail shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain into Glass
Strain the cocktail mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice or serve it straight up without ice, depending on your preference.
