Preparing the Wings
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2
Prepare the Chicken Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and hot sauce. Toss until the wings are evenly coated.
- 3
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Place the coated chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil, ensuring they are spread out in a single layer.
- 4
Bake the Wings
Bake the wings in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy, flipping them halfway through the cooking time for even cooking.
Making the Ranch Dressing
- 5
Combine Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, dried dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined and smooth.
- 6
Chill the Dressing
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the ranch dressing for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serving
- 7
Serve the Wings
Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Serve hot with the chilled ranch dressing on the side.
