Main Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). This high temperature will help achieve a crispy skin.
- 2
Prepare the Chicken
Rinse the whole chicken under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
- 3
Season the Chicken
In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, fresh rosemary, and lemon juice. Rub this mixture all over the chicken, making sure to get under the skin for maximum flavor.
- 4
Optional White Meat Adjustment
If you prefer all white meat, add a charge of $0.99 and ensure to inform the butcher accordingly.
Cooking
- 5
Roast the Chicken
Place the prepared chicken in a roasting pan breast side up. Roast in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the juices run clear.
- 6
Rest the Chicken
Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10-15 minutes before carving. This allows the juices to redistribute for a moist chicken.
- 7
Carve and Serve
Carve the chicken into halves or quarters, depending on your preference. Serve warm with your choice of sides.
