Crepe Batter

Filling (Optional)

Method

Crepe Batter Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour and salt until well combined.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, whisk the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients

Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, whisking until the batter is smooth and free of lumps. Let the batter rest for at least 30 minutes.

Cooking the Crepes

  1. 4

    Heat the Pan

Heat a non-stick skillet or crepe pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter.

  2. 5

    Cook the Crepes

Pour about 1/4 cup of crepe batter into the pan, tilting the pan to spread the batter evenly into a thin layer. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until the edges lift and the bottom is lightly golden.

  3. 6

    Flip the Crepe

Using a spatula, gently flip the crepe and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side until golden. Transfer to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter.

Serving Suggestions

  1. 7

    Add Fillings

Spread Nutella on one half of the crepe, top it with sliced bananas and whipped cream, then fold the crepe over.

  2. 8

    Dust with Powdered Sugar

Sprinkle powdered sugar on top of the folded crepe for an extra touch of sweetness before serving.
