Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Slice the chicken breasts into strips approximately 1 inch wide. This will ensure they cook evenly and are easy to handle.
- 2
Breading the Chicken
- 3
Coat the Chicken
Take each chicken strip and dip it into the flour, ensuring it is fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.
- 4
Dip in Egg
Next, dip the floured chicken strip into the egg mixture, making sure it is well coated.
- 5
Final Coating
Finally, roll the egg-coated chicken strip in the bread crumb mixture until it is fully covered. Set aside on a plate.
Frying
- 6
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). You can check the temperature with a thermometer or by dropping a small piece of bread in; it should sizzle.
- 7
Fry the Chicken Strips
Carefully place the breaded chicken strips in the hot oil, working in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they are golden brown and cooked through.
- 8
Drain Excess Oil
Once cooked, remove the chicken strips from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
