Method

Prepare Marinade

  1. 1

    Marinate the beef

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, cornstarch, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring it is well-coated. Cover and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Cook Rice

  1. 2

    Cook the rice

Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a saucepan, combine the rinsed rice and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes or until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork.

Stir Fry

  1. 3

    Stir fry the beef

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

  2. 4

    Stir fry the vegetables

In the same skillet, add a bit more sesame oil if needed. Add the bell pepper, broccoli, carrots, and snow peas. Stir fry for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

  3. 5

    Combine beef and vegetables

Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Stir well to combine and heat through for an additional 2 minutes. Adjust seasoning with more soy sauce if desired.

Serve

  1. 6

    Plate and garnish

Serve the stir fry over a bed of jasmine rice. Garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds before serving.
