Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Garlic Dill Aioli
In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise with minced garlic, chopped dill, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- 2
Cook the Onions
In a skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until they are caramelized and golden brown, about 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat.
- 3
Form the Patties
Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1/3 pound each. Season with salt and pepper.
- 4
Cook the Patties
In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and heat over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they reach desired doneness. In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar and a slice of Swiss cheese on each patty to melt.
- 5
Toast the Kaiser Rolls
While the patties are cooking, slice the Kaiser rolls in half and toast them in a separate pan or toaster until golden.
- 6
- 7
Serve
Slice the patty melts in half and serve immediately with additional aioli on the side if desired.
