Pulled Pork Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Pork
Trim excess fat from the pork shoulder and cut it into large chunks. Season generously with salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 2
Cook the Pork
Place the seasoned pork shoulder in a slow cooker. Add the apple cider vinegar and half of the BBQ sauce. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender and shreds easily with a fork.
- 3
Shred the Pork
Once the pork is cooked, remove it from the slow cooker and let it cool slightly. Use two forks to shred the pork into bite-sized pieces.
- 4
Combine with Sauce
Return the shredded pork to the slow cooker and mix in the remaining BBQ sauce and brown sugar. Stir to combine and let it heat through for an additional 30 minutes.
Sandwich Assembly
