The Hot Bobbie®

Method

The Hot Bobbie®

  1. 1

    Prepare the bread

Lightly butter the inside of each bread slice. Toast or grill the buttered sides in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown and fragrant, about 1–2 minutes. Remove from heat.

  2. 2

    Warm the turkey

In a small skillet or pan, warm the sliced turkey over medium-low heat until just heated through, about 2–3 minutes. Season lightly with a pinch of salt and pepper if desired.

  3. 3

    Assemble the stuffing layer

On the bottom slice, spread the handmade stuffing as an even layer, about 1/4 inch thick. If using cold stuffing, reheat briefly in a microwave or steam gently until warm.

  4. 4

    Add cranberry and turkey

Spread cranberry sauce over the stuffing layer in a thin, even coat. Top with the warm turkey slices, layering as desired for a meaty bite.

  5. 5

Finish with mayo and top slice

Spread mayonnaise on the inside of the top bread slice. Place the top slice over the turkey to form a sandwich. If desired, add a light sprinkle of black pepper and a tiny pinch of salt on the mayo.

  6. 6

    Optional press and serve

For a crisper sandwich, press in a panini press or grill on a skillet with a weight for 2–3 minutes per side until the exterior is golden and the filling is warmed through. Slice in half and serve immediately.
