Method
Bacon Preparation
- 1
Cook the Bacon
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the thick-cut bacon slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until crispy, flipping halfway through. Remove from the oven and place on paper towels to drain excess fat.
Vegetable Preparation
- 2
Prepare the Vegetables
While the bacon is cooking, wash the lettuce and pat it dry. Tear the lettuce into large pieces. Slice the tomatoes into thick rounds. Chop the fresh parsley roughly.
Garlicky Sauce Preparation
- 3
Make the Garlicky Sauce
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, minced garlic cloves (crushed), lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth and set aside.
Assembling the BLT
- 4
Build the Sandwich
Toast the sourdough bread until golden brown. Spread a generous layer of the garlicky sauce on one side of each slice of bread. Start layering: add the lettuce, followed by the crispy bacon, then the tomato slices, and finally sprinkle with fresh parsley. Top with another slice of bread, sauce side down.
Serving
- 5
Serve the BLT
Cut the sandwich in half and serve immediately, accompanied by your favorite chips or a pickle on the side.
