Method

Hummus Preparation

1

Prepare Ingredients

Gather all the ingredients needed for the hummus: chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, ginger, garlic, olive oil, parsley, salt, black pepper, and water.

2

Blend the Hummus

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, grated ginger, minced garlic, olive oil, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.

3

Adjust Consistency

If the hummus is too thick, add water a tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is achieved. Blend again until smooth.

4

Taste and Adjust Seasoning

Taste the hummus and adjust seasoning with more salt or lemon juice if desired. Blend again to mix.

Pita Preparation

5

Warm the Pita

Heat the pita bread in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes on each side until warm and slightly toasted.

6

Cut Pita into Wedges

Once warmed, remove the pita from the skillet and cut each piece into wedges for dipping.

Serving

7

Serve

Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with additional olive oil, and garnish with extra parsley if desired. Serve with pita wedges on the side.
