Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Turkey

Begin by rinsing the turkey breast under cold water and patting it dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Turkey

In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Rub this mixture all over the turkey breast, ensuring it's well coated.

  3. 3

    Marinate

Place the seasoned turkey breast in a large resealable bag or a bowl and pour apple cider vinegar over it. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Smoker

Soak wood chips in water for about 30 minutes. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).

  5. 5

    Smoke the Turkey

Remove the turkey breast from the marinade and let the excess liquid drip off. Place it in the smoker and add the soaked wood chips to the smoker box. Smoke the turkey for about 3 to 4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  6. 6

    Rest and Serve

Once done, remove the turkey from the smoker and let it rest for at least 20 minutes before slicing. Serve warm.
