Method

Prepare Taco Shells

  1. 1

    Warm the Taco Shells

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the taco shells on a baking sheet and warm them in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, until they are crisp and heated through.

Make Meat Filling

  1. 2

    Cook Ground Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef and cook until it's browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain any excess fat.

  2. 3

    Add Onions and Garlic

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the beef. Cook until the onions are soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 4

    Season the Meat

Stir in the taco seasoning and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until the mixture thickens.

Prepare Vegetable Filling

  1. 5

    Chop and Prepare Vegetables

While the meat is cooking, chop the lettuce, dice the tomato, and slice the avocado. Prepare any additional toppings, such as jalapeños.

Assemble Tacos

  1. 6

    Fill Taco Shells

Take a warm taco shell and fill it with a generous amount of the meat filling. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, cheddar cheese, and any other desired toppings.

  2. 7

    Add Garnishes

Finish with a dollop of sour cream, slices of avocado, jalapeños, and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
