Tater Tots Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and grate the russet potatoes using a box grater or food processor. Rinse the grated potatoes in cold water to remove excess starch, then drain and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the grated potatoes, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, minced garlic, grated ginger, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Form Tater Tots

Take small portions of the potato mixture and shape them into small, cylindrical tots. Repeat until all the mixture is used.

  4. 4

    Fry the Tater Tots

In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add the tater tots in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per side.

  5. 5

    Drain and Serve

Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried tater tots to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
