Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to prepare for baking the cakes.

Making the Cake

Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Stir continuously until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

Whisk Eggs and Sugar
In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, whole eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract until the mixture is pale and thick.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture. Stir until well combined.

Add Flour and Salt
Sift the all-purpose flour and salt into the chocolate mixture. Gently fold until just combined; do not overmix.

Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling them about 3/4 full.
Baking

Bake the Cakes
Place the ramekins on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes. The edges should be firm but the center should remain soft.

Cool Slightly
Once baked, let the cakes cool in the ramekins for about 1-2 minutes before inverting them onto serving plates.

Dust the tops of the cakes with powdered sugar and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.
