Preparing the Omelette

1. Whisk the Eggs

In a medium bowl, crack the 3 eggs and add salt and black pepper. Whisk them together until the yolks and whites are fully combined and the mixture is slightly frothy.

2. Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Allow the butter to melt and coat the bottom of the pan.

3. Cook the Omelette

Once the butter is melted and bubbling, pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Let it cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes until the edges begin to set.

4. Add Fillings

If using, evenly sprinkle the cheese, diced bell pepper, diced onion, and chopped spinach over one half of the omelette.

5. Fold and Serve

Using a spatula, gently fold the omelette in half over the fillings. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the omelette is cooked through. Slide the omelette onto a plate and serve hot.
