Method

Beef Preparation

  1. 1

    Season the Beef

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Rub this spice mixture all over the beef chuck roast to ensure it's evenly coated.

  2. 2

    Sear the Beef

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add a bit of oil and sear the beef roast on all sides until browned (about 4-5 minutes per side). Remove the roast from the skillet and set aside.

  3. 3

    Slow Cook the Beef

In a slow cooker, place the seared beef roast. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the meat. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender and easily shredded.

  4. 4

    Shred the Beef

Once cooked, remove the beef from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes. Use two forks to shred the beef into bite-sized pieces.

Sandwich Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare the Sandwiches

Slice the sandwich rolls in half and place them on a baking sheet. If desired, toast them lightly in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Sandwiches

On the bottom half of each roll, place a generous amount of shredded beef, a slice of provolone cheese, and pickled jalapeños to taste. Top with fresh parsley and cover with the top half of the roll.

  3. 7

    Serve

Serve the sandwiches immediately while warm. Enjoy your delicious shredded beef sandwiches!
