Chicken Marinade

Sandwich Assembly

Method

Marinating the Chicken

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Chicken

Add the 2 pieces of boneless, skinless chicken breasts to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

Cooking the Chicken

  1. 3

    Cook the Chicken

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and discard the remaining marinade. Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is golden brown.

Assembling the Sandwich

  1. 4

    Prepare the Bread

While the chicken is cooking, slice the sandwich rolls or bread in half. If desired, toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

  2. 5

    Assemble the Sandwich

Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on each half of the bread. Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half, followed by the cooked chicken breast, a slice of tomato, and a slice of cheese (if using). Top with the other half of the bread to complete the sandwich.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serve

Cut the sandwich in half if desired and serve immediately while hot.
