Cook the Macaroni
In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add 2 cups of elbow macaroni and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Add Milk
Gradually whisk in 2 cups of milk, continuing to stir to prevent lumps. Cook for about 5 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly.

Add Cheese and Seasonings
Reduce the heat to low, then add 2 cups of sharp cheddar cheese, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Stir until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the drained macaroni to the cheese sauce, stirring until the pasta is evenly coated in the sauce.

Prepare for Baking
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a greased baking dish.

Top with Breadcrumbs
In a small bowl, mix 1 cup of bread crumbs with 1 teaspoon of paprika. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the macaroni and cheese in the baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and crispy.
