Filling Preparation
- 1
Combine the Filling Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the fresh or frozen berries, sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and ground cinnamon. Toss gently to coat the berries evenly. Let the mixture sit for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the juices to release.
- 2
Transfer to Baking Dish
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Pour the berry mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
Topping Preparation
- 3
Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

- 5
Spread Topping Over Filling
Spoon the topping mixture over the berry filling in the baking dish. It’s okay if it doesn’t cover the filling completely; it will spread during baking.
Baking
- 6
Bake the Cobbler
Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the topping comes out clean.
- 7
Cool and Serve
Remove the cobbler from the oven and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, possibly with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream!
