Brisket

Prepare the Brisket
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Season the Brisket
Rub the brisket with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Ensure it is well coated.

Rest the Brisket
Remove from the oven and let it rest for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

Slice the Sausage
Once cooked, remove from heat and slice into bite-sized pieces.
Pulled Pork

Prepare the Pork Shoulder
Season the pork shoulder with salt and black pepper.

Cook the Pork Shoulder
Place in a slow cooker and add BBQ sauce and apple cider vinegar. Cook on low for 8 hours or until easily shreddable.

Shred the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred with two forks.
Onion Straws

Prepare the Onion
Slice the large onion into thin rings.

Soak in Buttermilk
Place the onion rings in buttermilk and let soak for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare the Coating
In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, cornstarch, paprika, and salt.

Coat the Onion Straws
Remove the onion rings from the buttermilk, letting the excess drip off. Dredge in the flour mixture until fully coated.
