Method

Preparation of Brussels Sprouts

  1. 1

    Trim and Halve

Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged leaves. Rinse them under cold water. Cut each Brussels sprout in half lengthwise.

  2. 2

    Mince Garlic

Peel the garlic cloves and finely mince them using a knife or a garlic press.

Making the Sauce

  1. 3

    Mix Sauce Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the soy sauce, minced ginger, honey, sesame oil, and rice vinegar. Whisk until well blended.

Cooking the Brussels Sprouts

  1. 4

    Sauté Brussels Sprouts

In a large skillet or wok, heat a tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat. Add the halved Brussels sprouts and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are tender and slightly browned.

  2. 5

    Add Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

  3. 6

    Pour Sauce

Pour the prepared sauce over the Brussels sprouts and garlic. Stir well to ensure all the Brussels sprouts are coated in the sauce.

  4. 7

    Simmer

Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for about 3-5 minutes, allowing the Brussels sprouts to absorb the flavors of the sauce.

Garnishing

  1. 8

    Prepare Garnish

While the Brussels sprouts are simmering, slice the green onions thinly.

  2. 9

    Serve

Transfer the soy ginger Brussels sprouts to a serving dish. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving.
