Preparation of Brisket

Preheat and Prepare
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

Season the Brisket
Rub the brisket with smoked paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper.

Sear the Brisket
In a large skillet, sear the brisket on both sides over medium-high heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes per side.

Cover and Bake
Cover the baking dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 3-4 hours, or until the brisket is tender.
Assembly

Shred the Brisket
Once cooked, remove the brisket from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes. Shred the brisket using two forks.

Warm Tortillas or Prepare Lettuce Cups
If using corn tortillas, warm them on a skillet over low heat for about 1 minute per side. If using lettuce cups, prepare them by washing and drying the leaves.

Assemble the Dish
Take a tortilla or lettuce cup, fill it with shredded brisket, and top with pico de gallo, queso fresco, sour cream, and shredded lettuce.

Add Guacamole (Optional)
If desired, add a scoop of guacamole on top of the assembled brisket tacos or cups.
